Reviving a Lost Classic: The Story Behind KenoPoolGame.com

Some of the best ideas are born not in boardrooms, but in pool halls.
For us, it all started in Brookston, Indiana.

Years ago, a friend of ours would spend countless evenings at the local pool hall playing a game unlike anything else—Keno Pool. It wasn’t just another billiards variation; it was fast-paced, addictive, and full of friendly rivalry. The heart of the game was a beautifully crafted wooden Keno board, a piece of craftsmanship that seemed as much art as it was sport.

Fast-forward a few decades, and that same friend—still in love with the game—managed to track down a vintage Keno board for his home. Before long, family gatherings and get-togethers with friends turned into lively Keno Pool nights. Everyone who played fell in love with the game’s unique mix of skill and luck.

Then came the inevitable question:
"Where can I buy one?"

The answer? Nowhere. These boards had disappeared from production, fading into billiard history.

After years of searching for a source and finding none, we realized something important—there was still a market for these treasures of the past. And not just any boards would do. They had to play exactly like the ones from that Brookston pool hall—smooth, precise, and built to last.

Our mission became clear: bring Keno Pool back to life.

The search for the perfect manufacturer began. We weren’t looking for shortcuts—we wanted true craftsmanship. After working with a skilled, U.S.-based manufacturer who shared our passion for detail, we began the process of prototyping. Several boards were made and tested, with adjustments down to the smallest fraction of an inch. The precision-routed holes had to guide the balls just right—not too easy, not too hard—just like the original game.

Finally, we had it: a board worthy of the Keno Pool legacy.

Today, KenoPoolGame.com is proud to offer these boards to a new generation of players. Each one is crafted with care, built to endure years of play, and designed to deliver the same excitement and nostalgia that once filled that little pool hall in Brookston.

We’re not just selling a game board. We’re reviving a piece of billiards history.

So whether you remember playing Keno Pool decades ago, or you’re discovering it for the first time, our boards are ready to bring that thrill into your home.
